Ever wondered how to style your hair? Does styling your hair take so much time? Do you feel like your styling is always failing?

One thing I have learnt in all this time since I became natural is that sometimes we can’t be like other people. I do what works for my hair and lifestyle.

When I became natural I was a curl chaser. I did it for all the wrong reasons. Every time I would do twists or braids in order to achieve a twist out or braid out, it would just be an epic fail. The hair would be unravelled and it would just be a mess.

Why should I have to go through all that trouble and my hair fails to corporate? I mean I tried endlessly but I somehow gave up and decided to just do me and what I love the most.

Funny thing, I love doing buns, puffs and letting my hair be in an afro. Those are what work for me. Sometimes the hairstyles we do can be tough to achieve, especially when you don’t have patience and the time.

I would suggest for you to do what works for you and your (busy) life.

I think it is only once or twice that my hair prospered when I did a twist out. After that every time it just fails. I have not given up though but when I get the time and patience, I go all in.

Bottom line, don’t strain yourself. Study your time, schedules and do what works. Most times I will style my hair the previous night and then get up to continue my day, the following day.

If you are not patient enough and feel lazy doing your hair, please go to a salon and let them do it for you. They are sure to know what to do.
